Flu Stress

Posted on

Flu stress is the stress caused by influenza. Flu has always been annoying for me and has always been driving me crazy
because of the fact that I have to stay home with fever for a week during the summer.

The link between stress and cold diseases was proven long time ago. If appropriate conditions exist cold diseases can easily transform into flu.

Usually four days after we experience stress, banal inflammations of the upper respiratory tract develop as well. This is logical and understandable, during times of stress our body needs vitamins. Most of all, we need vitamin C. However, our immune system proper functioning is also based on the adequate levels of vitamin C in and out of the body.

Since stress depletes all quantities of vitamin C, a failure occurs in our immune defense and all viruses feel welcome for a party.

This dependence is most pronounced when it comes to colds and flu illnesses, but the same is true for other diseases.

The weak nervous system reacts to the nervous tension the same way as in general a weak body would respond to a walk on the snow in thongs.

Thus I started wondering about effective ways to dramatically reduce the chances to get flu.

What I found out is that stress dramatically reduces my ability to cope with the viruses attacks. I was surprised to understand that a 15 minutes relaxation per day is a better preventive measure compared to anti flu vaccines. In addition it has a guaranteed effect while anti flu vaccines are not effective against all types of flu.
